| Our clients need a strategy for managing multi-modal access to their sites. A site-specific travel plan provides this and delivers a package of measures to encourage and enable staff (and other site visitors) to travel more sustainably.
RATC was commissioned by the Department for Transport in 1998 to define the government support package for employers introducing travel plans. The result was DfT support for the first Association for Commuter Transport staff member, a raft of publications and good practice guidance, and the site specific advice programme for employers (1999-2006). RATC's Kath Tierney and Richard Armitage served on the panel of consultants providing this programme.
We provide travel planning services for larger employers (e.g. at hospitals, universities, and private sector offices) and smaller ones (e.g. at multi-occupancy commercial and industrial sites, and GP surgeries).
