We have been closely involved in the development of car clubs in the UK since 1996 (see pdf download), setting up car clubs, organising national events on car clubs, and producing the good practice guidance published by the Department for Transport.
For Bristol City Council, we undertook the feasibility study that led to the establishment of Bristol City Car Club.
The car club fleet not only replaces privately-owned cars, but it also provides a car pool solution for business too. At Edinburgh City Car Club, local firms are signing up to avoid fleet management bills, take control of staff travel expenses, cease paying for expensive staff parking, and generally have greater operational flexibility at no additional cost.
