Area-based mobility management offers a very different set of challenges to site-specific single employer workplace travel planning, where most of the UK's 'early wins' have been based.
In the small village of Haworth, home of the Brontë sisters, we are working with the residents, shop-keepers, museums, attraction organisers, public transport operators, schools, and health services. It is estimated there are about 300 visitors per year for every one of Haworth's 4,000 residents. The Haworth Travel Plan suggests how the continuing economic health of the village can be under-pinned by sustainable transport initiaitives.
