Conference: Community transport in Northumberland - new developments - revised Community Transport Strategy

Over 90 delegates signed up for the 2008 Northumberland Community Transport Conference. It was held exactly one year on from the very well attended Creating Sustainable Community Transport event, at the same excellent venue - Choppington Social Welfare Centre.
Delegates heard about the new developments that commenced in 2007: Getabout Northumberland - Voluntary Car Scheme Wheels to Work - expansion in Castle Morpeth Community Transport Quality Standard - the County Council’s new CT support policy Castle Morpeth Taxicard - subsidised taxi service for residents in the rural west of the borough Community Transport and contracts This conference was also a consultation event about the revised Community Transport Strategy for Northumberland, and the new Northumberland Strategic Partnership Access to Services Technical Support Group.
