A pilot concessionary taxi scheme, Rural West Taxicard, has begun recruiting members and taxi drivers in rural parts of Castle Morpeth Borough. Set up under the auspices of Rural West Partnership, with funding from Advancing Castle Morpeth, the scheme has been organised by Richard Armitage Transport Consultancy, with Concessionary Solutions Ltd. providing the smartcard, readers and back office administration.
